The resort of Menorca Cala'n Bosch lies on
the extreme south west coast of Menorca, about 50km from the airport
at Mahon. The resort is still quite new, and in recent years has
further expanded over several square miles. The most important point
of the resort is it's large marina, which is usually full of small
and mid size yachts and other leisure craft.
Although most of the western coastline of Menorca is very rocky,
visitors to the resort of Menorca Cala'n Bosch do have the choice
of two fair sized sandy beaches. Both of these beaches have good
facilities, and offer a good selection of water sports equipment
for hire. From here 2 Glass Bottom boats operate trips around the
south west coast, taking in a good selection of the more secluded
coves on the way. Menorca Cala'n Bosch shopping area is centred
around the north of the marina, that offers visitors a good range
of souvenir shops, restaurants, and supermarkets.
Also for local trips during the day and early evening, the more leisurely
mini train runs around the resort and into the nearby Son Xoriguer district.
As with most resorts in Menorca, evening entertainment is quite low and
is mainly hotel based. The town does still don't have any clubs or discos.
Menorca Cala'n Bosch is a nice modern resort, that is best suited for
a relaxing family holiday or older couples not looking for too many activities.
